3D Invigorator for AfterEffects allows you to go back into a Zaxwerks object to make changes and adjustments after you've initially created it. Does Invigorator Photoshop allow you to do this as well directly within Photoshop. I know that you can save a scene and reload it later, but it appears that when you click the OK button in Invigorator Photoshop that it just creates a rendered version of the 3D object but doesn't allow you to modify it back in the Invigorator interface.

Yes... in CS3 and CS4 you can apply 3D Invigorator as a Smart Filter. Convert the layer you want to apply Invig to into a Smart Object. Then when you apply Invigorator it'll be a Smart filter, which will allow you to open and re-open the filter.

Hope that helps...

That worked, but after reopening the layer Invigorator will frequently lock up if I try to edit any text I've created. I can modify other things like bevels and textures, but it's just editing text that causes a lockup.

Can you give us more info about your system? What OS, version of Photoshop, size of PS document (e.g. 2000x3000), what bit depth, etc.

This is not a known problem, but we'll look into it. Any info you can provide would be helpful.

thanks,

I’m using Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, Photoshop CS4, and a 300 x 200 72dpi document at a bit depth of 8. This link is to a screencast of the problem, http://www.screencast.com/users/BuckyKat/folders/Jing/media/473271f6-80e3-4faa-8a32-bed4c62de78c.
